Our Recipes
Baked Deep-Dish Strawberry French Toast
Ingredients: 1 - 16 oz. loaf of French bread, cubed 1 - 8 oz. package of cream cheese (I use about 3/4 of the package), cubed into small pieces 6 large eggs 1 pint Half & Half 1/2 cup butter, melted 1/4 cup maple syrup Topping: 1 - 16 oz. container of frozen, sliced strawberries 10 oz. of strawberry jam
Arrange half of cubed bread in a lightly greased, deep 13" x 9" pan. Sprinkle with cubed cream cheese, and cover with remaining bread cubes.
Whisk together eggs and next 3 ingredients. Pour over bread mixture, then press bread cubes to be sure they all absorb the egg mixture.
Cover with foil and refrigerate for 8 hours. (I suggest preparing the recipe the night before, and refrigerating it overnight.) Bake covered, at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake 30 more minutes, until the top is golden brown. Cut into 8 – 10 servings. Plate each serving, then ladle heated strawberry topping onto each serving.
Enjoy!
